Research Interests

I’m a researcher with a computer science background, passionate about applying AI methods to the medical domain. I thoroughly enjoy interdisciplinary research as a source of novel and interesting problems to solve. I’m regularly working with medical doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, lawyers, statisticians, and biomedical engineers. I also have a proven history of working in higher education, both for teaching and research, including international experience in Canada and the USA.

Fit4MedRob – Mission 1 – 2023
Team member and PMO technical management for the Fit for Medical Robotics project funded under the Italian Ministry of University and Research – PNRR. The project, coordinated by the Italian National Research Council (CNR) aims at promoting the uptake of digital bionic and biorobotics solutions in cognitive and physical reabilitation. Mission 1 deals with the planning, design and execution of innovative clinical trials on biorobotic devices.

Team member and work package leader of the European PERISCOPE project, funded under the Coronavirus Global Response initiative.
Leading WP4 on the COVID-Atlas, data integration, backend services, and analytics.
